I didn't call it B-Sidez for nuthin'. These are rough-cut mashups I felt were undeserving of individual release. As far as genres go, they clash throughout the entire album. However, backing track wise, the album contains mostly pop/rock in the beginning, hip-hop/rap in the middle, and electronic/metal at the end.
I guess most artists thank people and what not when they release a full length album. Well, it does makes a lot of sense for me to do so since most of my mashups come about because of other people and their influence on me. So, firstly I'd like to thank my family for putting up with me blaring music (especially the repetition to get certain bits right), my close friends for always listening to my mashups and giving honest opinions-- even if you say you don't like mashups (I know you do!), ex-girlfriends for being both supportive and heartbreaking (some of my best mashups came about because of ex's -- thanks ladies), acquaintances and new friends for inquiring about mashups (you bring back the excitement in mashups again), other mashup artists and DJs for releasing new stuff for me to listen to and enjoy (you keep me at my day job haha!, you guys just rock!), and lastly--but not least in any way--the listeners! Your comments, feedback, and support keep the Mashup world revolving. Spread the word-- spread the music. You listeners are what makes me keep doin' this shit, so cheers to you! You are the people that find a good tune and crank it in the car just because. Whether a track brings a smile to your face, makes you want to dance, scream, mosh, or just sing along-- it's all about the emotion. Let the music flow through you and never hold it back!
